In Ultra for Astigmatism, Bausch + Lomb has developed a monthly contact lens that ensures incredibly sharp vision, even for those with astigmatism. Its OpticAlign design helps the lens to stay in a stable position without any twisting around the eye. MoistureSeal technology ensures long-lasting moisture and comfort, even after 16 hours of wear. It combines permanent moisture retention in the contact lens with a special silicone hydrogel material. This helps the contact lens remain exceptionally soft and comfortable on the eye, even for those with astigmatism.
Clear vision for those with astigmatism
The Ultra for Astigmatism has been designed to ensure you have a crystal clear view of the world around you in almost any situation. The OpticAlign design neatly balances the stabilizing points in the contact lens. As a result, the contact lenses sit optimally on the eye and hardly moves when you blink: this means continuous visual sharpness without fluctuations. Enhanced aspherical optics on the contact lens ensure better vision, especially in the dark. It reduces spherical aberration, which helps, for example, in making lights less blurry in the dark and making PC screens more comfortable to look at.
Contact lenses with moisture retention for up to 16 hours
MoistureSeal technology allows Ultra for Astigmatism to retain 95% of moisture for up to 16 hours straight. With this technology, the material is produced in two stages. A silicone composition of long and short strings is formed at the beginning. This reduces the silicone content and allows more water to be used, resulting in an incredibly soft material. The silicone strings are then coated with up to four times more PVP molecules (polyvinylpyrrolidone) than before. This means that contact lenses can retain their high level of moisture and find their place in the eye to prevent them from becoming dry. In addition, the outer layer of Ultra for Astigmatism is particularly thin, so that the eyelids can barely tell the contact lenses are there.
Infinite oxygen supply for bright eyes
The special silicone combination of short and long silicone strings allows oxygen to flow through the contact lens to the eye, keeping the eyes bright, even after lengthy wear. Thanks to the structure of the silicone, less material is needed to reach the same quality of care – for an ultra-soft wearing experience.
